01

Who this policy applies to

This policy covers personal information handled by Audio Revival through this website, our contact channels, in-person dealings and order support. Where applicable, we handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

Personal information is information or an opinion that identifies you or could reasonably identify you.

02

Information we collect

  • Contact details such as your name, email address, phone number and delivery or billing address.
  • Order, payment-status, delivery, return, warranty and customer-support records.
  • Information you include in product, system-advice, sourcing or trade-in enquiries.
  • Technical information such as IP address, browser, device, approximate location, referring page and interactions with the site.
  • Marketing preferences and campaign information where you have interacted with a promotion or chosen to hear from us.
03

How we use information

  • To respond to enquiries and provide product or system advice.
  • To process orders, arrange payment, deliver products and provide after-sales support.
  • To assess trade-in or sourcing requests and prevent fraud or misuse.
  • To operate, secure, measure and improve the website and customer experience.
  • To send marketing only where you have consented or where the law otherwise permits it, with an unsubscribe option in each marketing message.
  • To comply with legal, accounting, tax, dispute-resolution and regulatory obligations.
04

Shopify checkout and payments

Shopify provides the commerce platform used for product data, cart and checkout. When you begin or complete checkout, Shopify and the selected payment provider process the information needed to complete the transaction, including payment and fraud-prevention information.

We do not receive your full card number. Shopify and payment providers handle payment data under their own privacy and security terms, including applicable payment-card security requirements. Their systems may store or process information outside Australia.

05

Cookies and browser storage

The site uses cookies or similar browser storage where needed to operate features such as your Shopify cart, wishlist, recently viewed products and saved campaign information. Wishlist and recently viewed data remain on the device and browser where you saved them unless you clear them.

Where analytics or advertising tools are enabled, they may use cookies or similar technologies to measure visits and campaign performance. You can restrict cookies through your browser, although some cart, checkout or preference features may stop working correctly.

06

When information is shared

We may share only the information reasonably needed with service providers that help us operate the business, such as Shopify, payment providers, freight carriers, repairers, website hosting, analytics, communications and professional advisers.

We may also disclose information with your consent, to protect customers or the business, where a transaction or business restructure requires it, or where disclosure is required or authorised by law. Providers may operate in other jurisdictions and their local laws may apply to information processed there.

07

Security and retention

We take reasonable administrative, technical and physical steps to protect personal information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. No internet or storage system is completely risk free.

We keep information only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purpose collected or to meet legal, tax, accounting, warranty, fraud-prevention and dispute-resolution requirements. We then take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it where the law permits.

08

Access, correction and complaints

You can ask what personal information we hold about you, request access to it, ask us to correct inaccurate information, withdraw a marketing consent or raise a privacy concern by contacting us. We may need to verify your identity before acting and may refuse or limit a request where the law allows, in which case we will explain why where required.

We will acknowledge a privacy complaint and aim to investigate it within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may be able to contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

09

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our services, technology or legal obligations change. The current version and its effective date will remain available on this page.
