Important
Please contact us before sending anything back. An unapproved return can be delayed, misdirected or exposed to avoidable freight damage.
Your consumer rights
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You may be entitled to a remedy if a product is faulty, unsafe, significantly different from its description or unable to do a purpose that you told us about and reasonably relied on us to assess.
These rights apply to sale items and second-hand goods. For pre-loved equipment, the product's age, price, condition, normal wear and any faults clearly disclosed before purchase are relevant when deciding whether a guarantee has been met.
Major and minor problems
For a major failure, you can generally choose a refund or replacement. A failure may be major where a reasonable customer would not have bought the product had they known about the problem, the product is unsafe, it is substantially different from its description or it cannot perform its stated purpose and cannot easily be fixed.
For a minor problem, we may choose to repair the product within a reasonable time. If we cannot do so, you may then be entitled to another remedy available under the Australian Consumer Law.
Disclosed condition and customer-caused damage
A remedy is not available for a fault, mark or limitation that was clearly disclosed before purchase, or where the product was damaged through misuse, abnormal use, unauthorised modification or an installation that did not follow the relevant instructions.
Normal cosmetic wear that is consistent with the listing, age and price of a pre-loved product is not by itself a fault. If you are unsure about a condition detail, ask us before ordering and we will help you assess it.
Change-of-mind returns
We are not required to provide a refund or exchange because you changed your mind, found the item elsewhere or decided it does not suit your system. We may consider a change-of-mind request at our discretion if you contact us promptly and the equipment remains in the condition supplied.
If we approve a discretionary return, return freight, payment costs and a reasonable restocking or inspection charge may apply. We will explain any proposed deduction before you decide whether to proceed.
How to request a return
- Contact us with your order number and a clear description of the issue.
- Include photos or video where they help show the fault or transit damage.
- Wait for return instructions before shipping or bringing the product to us.
- Pack the item carefully. Original packaging helps protect hi-fi in transit, but it is not required for a valid consumer-guarantee claim.
- Include proof of purchase, such as an order confirmation, receipt, card statement or lay-by agreement.
Assessment and return costs
We may need to inspect or test the product before confirming the appropriate remedy. For large or difficult-to-transport goods with a valid fault, we will work with you on a reasonable collection or assessment method.
If inspection finds no product fault and the issue relates to another component, setup or customer-caused damage, reasonable inspection or transport costs may apply where we told you about them in advance.
