Key Technical Specifications
  • DAC Architecture: It is engineered around the flagship ESS Sabre ES9038PRO 8-channel processor. Topping implements all 8 channels in parallel (4 channels per stereo side) to massively reduce the noise floor and push audio performance to its physical limit.
  • High-Res Format Support: The device natively handles up to PCM 32-bit/768kHz and DSD1024 via its specialized inputs.
  • MQA Decoding: It features full MQA hardware decoding and unfolding across USB, coaxial, optical, and AES inputs. (Note: The otherwise identical sibling model, the D90LE, completely lacks MQA support).
  • Wireless Audio: Bypassing basic internal Bluetooth processing, it utilizes Bluetooth 5.0 with native support for premium high-fidelity codecs
  • Versatile Functionality
    • Digital Pre-amplifier: You can switch it from a pure DAC fixed-output mode to a preamp mode, letting you manage volume directly using the front display panel or the bundled IR remote control.
    • Selectable Output Voltage: It allows you to toggle output voltages between standard lines (2.1V RCA / 4.2V XLR) or boosted paths (2.6V RCA / 5.2V XLR). Pushing it to 5V XLR allows compatible amplifiers to capture a cleaner signal with an incredibly deep noise floor
